Post Interview Report - Ramos, Alano
2818 Foundry 1, Mt. Nabethea, Erios
Subject — Alano Ramos, Epsilon academy graduate
Subject Reference — Arctara A.G. Race Management, with approval of Jules Chastain, team principal
Reason for interview — Arctara A.G. pilot onboarding for primary roster
Liason — Luther Townsend, Senior Consult, Resources Branch
The subject's CV shows a broad competitive background spanning several regional and feeder series, with meaningful cross-discipline experience. Performance data across these entries is consistent and comfortably meets the threshold required for the HSRL.
Academy practice
The subject has already completed several trial sessions in the RennSport 7 as part of the evaluation process. Performance metrics from these sessions were reviewed briefly in-session and verified. Results were strong, surpassing previous figures from other academy members, and going on par with fellow pilot Elsie Inoue, herself a standout this cycle.
The subject discussed his early introduction to racing, beginning at a young age. This had been somewhat expected, coming from a family with direct HSRL heritage; his father, Ignacio Ramos, held multiple HSRL titles flying for Stile-RD. It is a matter of record that Ignacio Ramos's title-contention years overlapped directly with Mr. Chastain's own tenure as an active pilot for this team, the two being rivals for championships during the 2790s.
The subject was given the standard set of onboarding materials and directions: contract specifics and finalization, sponsor and media obligations, and the technical integration schedule ahead of his debut in the HSRL. No follow-up items required here.
Due to the academy already confirming his racing history and HSRL eligibility, the remainder of the interview was conversational in nature. The subject discussed his general approach to race strategy, which came across as notably deliberate for someone his age.
Outside of this, I did review some of his prior race logs in advance, and want to note a pattern for the file: there are a handful of instances where he has made comparably volatile in-race calls. Some strategy deviations that, on occasion, have cost him positions on the track. I do not find it disqualifying by any means, but this is a pattern that is worth flagging to whichever race engineer ends up being assigned to him, so they can anticipate and build a working strategy around it rather than be caught off guard.
Proceed with the onboarding process. A briefing regarding the analysis of his racing history is recommended for race engineers and those in strategy management (see item 5).
