MODULE 4
Arctara 5 stands as the most technologically advanced manufacturing facility in the performance-craft sector.
After the arson attacks on Vytal's Stuttgart facility, the company felt that this was a chance at a refresh. With permission from the UNIA, they would spend two years constructing a facility on the edges of Arctara, an isolated and protected mountain range on Erios. It was a prime location for the company; not only is the area restricted by the UNIA, it also provided ample testing grounds for Vytal's spacecraft.
The factory/headquarters combo (dubbed Arctara 5) would be ready for operation by 2773, and from there, Vytal would become synonymous with the term "bleeding edge" in the racecraft industry.
Entrance
From the outside, Arctara 5 seems very unassuming. It is only accessible via VTOL/biphrensic vehicles*, and even then, it's hard to spot on the ground. The entrance itself is also very bland; a series of vehicle storage elevators with a large 15m tall concrete door towering them. The only indication that this building is indeed Arctara 5 lies on the door; a large Vytal logo split between the two halves. This door is rarely opened; with employees and visitors entering through a smaller door to the side of it.
Going inside the smaller entrance, you'll be met with Vytal's secretary and security system, which uses five methods of biometric authentication for identify confirmation. Following this is an elevator that goes underground, which eventually brings you to the real headquarters.

In stark contrast to it's concrete stricken exterior, Arctara 5's lower layer is warm and cozy, filled with wood accents made from Redwood*. Interior design aside, Arctara 5 is divided into five sections: Research & Development, Production, Simulation, Data Archives, and Habitation. Each section has a dedicated 'campus'.
*It is unknown how Vytal has access to Redwood lumber, as the UN Eco Conservation Project has marked them as extinct outside of preserves in Can-Am.Redex Laboratories
Research & Development (known internally as Redex Laboratories) develops biphrensic technology for Vytal and it's customers (such as Lambda). It is their main focus, with the R&D department bringing in almost 80% of their revenue.
R&D was never always a part of Vytal. Initially known as REDEX Advancements, they began life in 2756 as an MPT development company in the UEA. REDEX were major players in the early days of the HSRL and RSEC, being the primary company to bring in revenue for the league, as well as some much needed attention. They would later go bankrupt after a series of experimental incidents and conflicts involving CEO Hannah Yu. Any useful sectors of the company were picked apart and bought out by Vytal during the later months of 2779, which would eventually pave the way for the company's Stavelot (Terra) and Z72 (Adept, Erios) R&D branches.
Production
Production is self-explanatory; the production branch of Arctara 5. Clean rooms are extensively checked and cleaned; almost to the point of obsession. Meanwhile, precise machinery and skilled technicians would slowly, but surely, assemble performance-craft. This starts meticulously with a fuselage made out of titanium alloys and carbon composites, with the components being constructed in tandem. The component that takes the longest to produce is the propulsion system, which may take months to machine and assemble due to the extremely low tolerances that a microfusion powertrain (MPT) system would need.
On average, one craft from Vytal would take 5 months to complete from start to finish. This slow production rate means that only 50 or so spacecraft leave Arctara 5 each year, making them extremely rare to come across outside of the HSRL.
Residence
Due to the remote location of the factory, employees have access to their own personal quarters should they need to stay for an extended period. This is not limited to the individual employee, as Vytal also extends this benefit to their immediate families.
The quarters share a similar design language to the rest of the factory and are compact, yet carefully planned as to not make the employees - as well as their families - feel cramped. Employees are also provided with access to necessities (food, water, etc) and a small shopping/social area, which are used by both residents and employees on their break time.
Spa-Francorchamps
Contrary to popular belief, Arctara 5 isn't a singular facility - rather it's a series of facilities. Alongside the factory in the Arctara mountain range, there are also two more facilities: another in Erios, and one on Terra.
During the advisory period of Saya Yoshiro, Vytal would construct a combo R&D + small-scale factory on Terra - specifically in the abandoned town of Stavelot, which lies inside of Old Belgium. This facility would be named 'Spa-Francorchamps', a tribute to the racing circuit that stood in Stavelot before being destroyed in the Resource Wars.
Spa-Francorchamps would serve as the headquarters for Vytal's racing division, Arctara AG. The factory is capable of manufacturing parts and extremely-small-scale spacecraft assembly, all of which are dedicated to the team's efforts on track. Spacecraft manufactured in this facility are almost identical to the spacecraft manufactured by the crew in Arctara 5, with the differences lying on the limitations and regulations set by the governing body of the HSRL.
Messier 72
This is the second facility that Vytal uses in Erios. In the late 2800s, Vytal and Lambda UC formed a major partnership aiming to utilize their combined developments for mutual benefit. To facilitate this, Vytal would start recruiting engineers for additional R&D work inside of Lambda's offices, which are located in Adept's 'Zone 72e.' Their pseudo-headquarters would become known internally as Messier 72 - named after the spaceport local to the zone.
Messier 72 is responsible for researching biphrensic technology for Lambda UC, their partner and largest customer.
