Background
Childhood
Levi Lewis grew up in the politically charged media sprawl of Adept. His mother was a bureaucratic archivist. His father was a failed poet and data-cleaner.
By 12, Levi was already assembling “shadow reports” — compilations of publicly available data cross-stitched with implied patterns. He posted them under the pseudonym “GREYPARIAH”, predicting everything from local infrastructure failures to political personnel changes. No one paid attention — except one small publisher that offered him an anonymous column at 17.
That column?
“Echo Between the Pages” — a long-running investigative feature for PALUS Magazine.
His Niche
Levi’s reporting style quickly became a signature in the sector: calm, methodical, but with a tendency to ask one question too far. He preferred long-form interviews, archival dives, and subtle implication over sensationalism. He viewed his job as “detecting the shape of truth, not carving it.”
When Thread-related incidents started disrupting infrastructure and policy across the Hydrus System, Levi was one of the first civilian reporters to abandon political reporting entirely and focus on the corporations, specifically:
Who was developing new tech?
Who was hiding data?
And what exactly happened at Drydock Gamma?
Interviews with Contour
Lewis interviewed James Contour three times: in 2805, 2815, and 2821. Each conversation became legendary in the media world — not because they revealed bombshell information, but because Levi managed to get Contour to reflect, to pause, to acknowledge contradiction without rejecting it.
From the 2815 interview:
“When you say the Thread learned, James… do you mean it understood us? Or just watched until we stopped asking the wrong questions?”
(Contour did not respond immediately.)
Lewis never tried to antagonize. He just waited.
Current Status
Today, Levi is still actively writing for PALUS. Lewis is currently preparing a serialized archival project titled, “After the Architecture,” examining how society restructured itself in the wake of The Thread’s integration into civilian life.
He has not accepted a corporate interview since 2821.
He has, however, been seen entering Axiom airspace three times since then. No official interviews have been announced.
